A loan helped to pay for new stock needed in her retail store.

Annie's story

Annie is 32 years old and her partner, a seasonal worker, is currently working in Australia. She is a mother of two children, with only one currently in school. Along with her partner and children, Annie still lives with her parents in the home she lived in when she was a child. It is in a village a 40-minute drive from town. She runs a small retail store from her humble home to earn a living.

Annie established her business with the aim of supporting her family while providing retail services to her community. Her dream is to sustain her business so that she can invest in a better education and life for her children. She also dreams of building a permanent home for her family. Her current plan is to increase her retail stock to better cater to her customer demands to bring in more income. However, due to an increase in retail prices, she is financially constrained and cannot achieve her plan.

She is requesting a loan to pay for new stock needed in her retail store. With the income earned, she will pay for her household necessities, child's school fees and save money to invest in her future plans. Through this loan, Annie is encouraged to rise in business and prepare her family for a bright future.
