A loan helped to buy a solar-powered lighting kit to improve his family’s standard of living.

Roger's story

Roger has a small farm and lives in a community in the region of Yoro, Honduras. He’s 54 years old and lives with his wife and one son. With over 40 years experience farming basic cereals, he’s shown himself to be a skilled basic cereals farmer.
As a father, Roger's commitment to the welfare of his wife and son drives him to seek opportunities for improving their quality of life. As there is no access to electricity services in his community, he has decided to ask Soluz Honduras for a loan to get a solar-powered lighting kit. This will allow him to have quality lighting when he does his jobs around the house at night and he’ll be able to stop using candles that are harmful to health. It’ll improve their standard of living as well as keeping his phone fully charged.
