Chandisai Mahoko Group's story

Chandisai Mahoko is a group from Sofala province, Mozambique. This group has ten members, most of whom are men. In the local language, the term Chandisai Mahoko means keep your hands working. The group has existed since 2020 and its main activity is the sale of agricultural surpluses such as cereals and vegetables.

The group recently benefited from iDE's business training on topics such as financial education, budgeting, and agriculture as a family business. This knowledge brought great gains to the group.

In the photo, Jose is the second man sitting from left to right wearing a cream T-shirt. He is the leader of the group and plays the role of chairman. He is the one who gives support and advice to the group members whenever necessary.

The Chandisai Mahoko Group is applying for its first Kiva loan to increase agricultural surpluses such as maize, beans, peanuts, and other vegetables to resell.
