A loan helped to purchase organic fertilizers that will enhance his crops' growth.

David's story

David Alejandro lives in Pitalito, Huila, and has been harvesting for more than two decades when he acquired a two-hectare plot of land. David cultivates a variety of crops which include 7,000 coffee bushes, 230 plantain trees, and bountiful yucca crops. With meticulous planning, he staggers his crops to ensure a continuous harvest throughout the year, maximizing the potential of his fertile terrain. David uses natural nematicides to ensure the health and wellbeing of his plants, all while fostering sustainable agricultural practices.

David lives with his wife and their daughter in a house gifted to them by his generous mother-in-law. His wife runs a small convenience store in their house, adding another layer of financial stability to their household.

David is applying for a loan of $2,268,867 COP that will enable him to purchase organic fertilizers rich in phosphate, promoting the optimal growth of his multiple crops.
