A loan helped a member to maintain her parcel of cacao trees.

Amigos De Sivia Group's story

The group “Amigos de Sivia” is in its seventh loan cycle and has six members. Due to the pandemic, the photo only shows those members who make up the Board of Directors (the president, treasurer, and secretary). The members are pleased to continue working as a team so that they can achieve a better future.

Rocío is 42 years old and lives with her partner and their 10-year-old child. She considers herself to be a hardworking, respectful, and responsible woman who likes to get ahead. Rocío has been in the cacao business for 10 years. Her greatest challenge is obtaining good production from her farmland. At the same time, her greatest wish is to have a bountiful harvest. In addition to this business, she earns extra income by working as a day laborer.

Rocío will use her portion of this Kiva loan to maintain her parcel of cacao so that she can have quality products to offer to her customers and generate extra income to invest.

In this group: Justa, Margot, Edithluz, Rocio, Melanygrysssilene, Justina
