Jamaica Mikocheni Group's story

This group consists of 4 members who share a strong bond of solidarity and mutual support. They all live in the same locality. They joined Victoria Finance on 2022 and they have formed a strong cohesion. They are conducting various micro businesses of food and drink.

At the far left is Ms. Janeth, the group representative aged 49 years, she is a divorced woman with 4 children. Ms. Janeth is responsible for making sure her children survive by providing all basic needs including school fees for her children at primary school and secondary school. She has conducted a business of food production for more than 10 years. She is seeking a loan from KIVA lenders to purchase stock of raw materials for making food like cooking oil, wheat flour, salt, sugar and other requirements needed for her business to provide good service to her customers.

As the loan is intended to be invested in Ms. Janeth's business for expansion, the profit generated from her business will support her family on improving family basic needs and support children education. Her dream is to support her family fully in terms of basic needs including education and health insurance.
