A loan helped a member to buy more sorghum and beans.

Dufatanye Cb Group's story

Angelique is a 34-year-old mother of four children between 4 and 14 years old. Her husband is a motorist, and for the past seven years, she has been selling foodstuffs.

Angelique is the leader of the group Dufatanye CB, which means “supporting each other” in English. The group members sell different items and own a variety of businesses.

Angelique will use her loan to buy more sorghum and beans to sell within her community. With the profit from her sales, she will be able to set aside some savings and expand her business to neighboring communities.

She is thankful for the support from lenders.

Due to the global pandemic, Urwego was not able to photograph all of the group members. However, the photo shows one member who is representing the group.

In this group: Esther, Evelyne, Erasto, Epiphanie, Emerthe, Christine, Angelique, Venuste, Donatile, Emmanuel, Ruth, Ntamugabumwe, Valentine, Elias, Jacqueline, Manzi, Murwanashyaka, Charles, Beathe, Evangeline
