A loan helped to purchase a motorcycle that will enable her to travel between her farm and the local market.

Doramid's story

Doramid hails from Gigante, Huila, and has more than 33 years of experience harvesting different crops, following her father's legacy on her inherited two-hectare farm. Within her terrain, Doramid has meticulously distributed over 8,000 coffee plants alongside 500 plantain trees. Her crops are strategically staggered in different stages, ensuring a continuous harvest. Every two months, she collects over three tons of coffee cherries, a testament to her hard work and dedication.

In addition to her coffee cultivation, Doramid also engages in beekeeping. With more than 12 beehives, she harvests an impressive yield of 40 to 50 bottles of honey. Both her coffee and honey productions are sold to the same buyer, securing a reliable market for her agricultural products.

Doramid lives with her husband and son in a house they purchased four kilometers away from their fields. This is a considerable distance that puts a heavy toll on her productivity and compromises her beekeeping sustainability.

Doramid is seeking a loan of COP 6,951,779, with which she plans to acquire a motorcycle. This mode of transportation will enable her to efficiently navigate between her farm and other locations, enhancing her productivity and reducing travel time.
