A loan helped a family fulfill their dream of purchasing a food-truck to grow their business.

Elisa's story

My name is Elisa Obeso, I am happily married, and I have 7 kids. Born, and raised in Tucson Az, and my husband is from Sinaloa Mexico. Growing up was not easy for either one of us as we come from very poor backgrounds, and never had enough money not even for our necessities to get us through school. I've always had an entrepreneurial mindset, high goals, and dreams. I've joined many business ventures in the past to try and move towards those dreams but was never able to reach my goals. I am however grateful to those businesses because thanks to them I am here today with my food truck business already established and set!

In February 2019 I broke my ankle in 5 parts, and due to the long recovery, I was forced to stay home. 5 months later I decided to work from home, so I began to sell snacks and fruit platters.
Then in February 2020 when COVID hit my husband's work slowed down, and then we really needed more money to pay the bills. So that moved me towards something my husband and I both love..... SEAFOOD and that's when we began to sell seafood from home. My husband is passionate about seafood as he grew up by the ocean, and I love the Ocean.

Today I am thrilled to have my own food truck business up, and running, work alongside my husband, and have hundreds of happy customers. My vision is to have Tostifiesta Franchises in a lot of places, especially around Arizona. We want to serve thousands of people. I dream of my husband and I retiring in Rocky Point, living by the beach, and enjoying life which is another one of my dreams. That's what really motivates me to move forward.
