Madame Coumbel is holding the sheep's rope in the photo. She is 42 years old and the mother of a boy, Ibrahima, age 7. She is also the guardian of Hawa, age 8. Both children go to school. She is the representative of the group Avec Yaaru Yesso, which means Go Foward in the Pular language. This community group was founded in 2021. It is comprised of 16 strong, united, and dynamic women. They work primarily in animal raising, and have good relationships.

Madame Coumbel and the other group members sell products as part of their businesses in weekly markets locally and in the sub-region. With the profits from their businesses, which vary monthly from 75,000 to 150,000 for the group, they support their husbands with family expenses such as school fees, healthcare, and food.
