Mujeres Unidas Group's story

Mujeres Unidas is the name of this committee from the city of Santaní. They are female heads of household who struggle to get ahead and to give their loved ones everything they were unable to have. They all have a common goal, which is to be able to give their family better living conditions.

Among them, Luciana stands out. She contributes to her family by making and selling chipas, which are a traditional Paraguayan food eaten all year round. She comments that her work begins each day from early in the morning, which is when she makes the chipas to then sell as a street vendor.

Her dream is to be able to have a great business where she can continue selling her chipas and, with this, be able to continue contributing to the household expenses.

She asks for this loan to purchase raw materials to make chipas, such as starch, cheese, eggs, butter, corn flour, and more.
