A loan helped to purchase agricultural supplies and pay labor costs.

Andrea Paola's story

This is Andrea, a young rural woman, 22 years old, who lives with her family in the community of Santa Martha de Cuba on her grandparents' small farm. Here, on a plot of land her grandfather gave her mother, with great effort, they stopped water, and Andrea and her siblings and parents live there.

They work as day laborers and in agriculture, so that from a young age she learned this work which she does today very naturally as an activity which generates income for her household.

Three months ago, she and her father began to plant a hectare of red potatoes together. This requires a lot of care, so Andrea is asking for her first loan with which to purchase the agricultural supplies she needs in addition to paying the workers who will help her to hill the plants.
