We provide service to the general public in food, agricultural and administrative terms. We operate in two locations: one in Fajardo, PR; and another in Las Piedras PR. This last one is a land that belonged to my great-grandparents. The land has been worked for over 120 years. I decided to start the business after I lost my job when the pandemic started in 2020. I also decided to work the land because of the prevailing need that exists in our country to produce our own food, reducing imports and making sure that we have enough food in case of a disaster.
What is the purpose of this loan?
I am requesting the loan since I am in a stage of growth in my business. I have currently signed about 5 contracts with government entities, which notarize some alleged funds that are going to subsidize us, and the money NEVER arrives, which stops all the processes and the expected projections are not met for that reason. Currently I will use the loan to get the business going and buy equipment and pay for help since right now I'm working everything. This money will help us invest in our growth and in food security for the island.

By bearing this risk, lenders protect the partner and its borrowers from catastrophic currency devaluations and contribute to the sustainability of their operations.
Potential for currency exchange loss is noted on every loan profile under the loan details:
"Yes" means the Lending Partner will cover any currency loss. Lenders will not bear losses due to currency fluctuation
"Partial" means that the Lending Partner has opted to cover losses only up to 10%. If the U.S. dollar appreciates more than 10% against the local currency, those losses will be passed onto lenders.
