A loan helped to buy chicks and laying hens to produce eggs.

Rosinha's story

Rosinha is a 30-year-old woman. She lives in Mocuba, Zambézia province, Mozambique.

Seeing that her community has a limited number of chicken farmers, Rosinha saw this as an opportunity to expand her poultry and egg production business.

Rosinha had the opportunity to participate in IDE's business training where she learned techniques on how to better manage her business and how to attract more customers, budgeting, and business plan.

She is seeking a loan to invest in her chicken farming business and intends to increase the number of chicks.

Rosinha is applying for her first Kiva loan to expand her chicken farming business and buy feed and vaccines and more feeders and drinkers to increase production capacity.

This loan is special because:

It supports smallholder farmers and the agricultural ecosystem in Mozambique.
