A loan helped a member to stock up bags of corn flour, bolstering her initial capital.

Rukomberane Ii Group's story

Ms. Maimuna is a customer of the IMF Hekima and the leader of the Rukomberane II village group. She is a widow, 38 years of age, and the mother of two children, both in school.

Maimuna sells corn of flour. She launched this business four years ago, with the starting funds received from her husband. Later on Maimuna joined the Hekima program to support her business and has been developing it gradually. With this new loan she will stock up bags of corn flour, bolstering her initial capital. Her business isn't facing any challenges.

Maimuna would like to ensure that her children continue their studies as well as to develop her business. In conclusion, Maimuna thanks Hekima and its partners for supporting business owners who lack access to banking, especially at this time of a global crisis due to Covid-19. Only the group leader appears in the photo due to Covid-19 social distancing measures.

In this group: Maimuna, Deogratias, Bora, Bintu, Vincent
