A loan helped a member to stock up on bags of rice, flour, sugar, Omo, and oil, which will strengthen her working capital.

Peke Siwezi Sg Group's story

Claudine is a client of the microfinance institution Hekima and leader of the "Peke Siwezi Sg" groupe villageoise. She is married, forty-three years old, and the mother of seven children all of whom attend school. Her partner is unemployed.

She sells various products at a business she started six years ago with start-up funds she received from her husband and her family. Later, she joined Hekima's program to support her business, as it developed gradually. With this new loan, she will stock up on bags of rice, flour, sugar, Omo, and oil, to strengthen her working capital. Her main business challenge is related to state taxes.

She would like her children to continue to study and to develop her business. Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for supporting business owners without access to traditional banking services in the context of the Covid-19 global epidemic. The photo only shows the group leader in accordance with Covid-19 social distancing guidelines.
