A loan helped to buy hazelnut and walnut seedlings to plant.

Klajdi's story

Klajdi is a young man from a village in Pogradec, Albania. He splits his time between his home village and Italy, living in Albania when his cherished orchards need his presence in order to take care of them and then emigrating to Italy to work for the rest of the year.

"A nut tree is a kind of tree that requires very little attention, and its yield is sold at a better price than other fruits. I plan to plant the rest of my family’s lands with good hazelnut and walnut seedlings, which I can procure in Italy," said Klajdi during the interview.

Indeed, Klajdi is hoping for a second Kiva loan to buy hazelnut and walnut seedlings to plant so he will be able to earn a good income for his family in the future. He thanks all Kiva lenders for their support.
