Raymunda is now 44 years old. She is the mother of four children who are 10, 13 and 17 years old. She is from the western highlands of Guatemala.
This is her second individual loan from Kiva. She has a business buying and selling animals, such as sheep and chickens. In August of the last year Raymunda received her first loan which was very beneficial for her business.
When her first loan ended Raymunda realized she wanted to invest a bit more in order to continue growing. She feels quite supported by following the business plan created by and put into action with her local business developer from Puente de Amistad. Given her good experience with her first loan she returns again to the Kiva lenders to seek a second individual loan.
Raymunda wants to invest this new loan in the purchase of animals, such as sheep, pigs, hens and cattle, to diversify her business. She also wants to invest in labor to plow her land, and to buy grass seed to plant so she can grow food for her animals.
She hopes to generate income in the medium term, which she will invest in agriculture, growing oats. Raymunda is very grateful to the Kiva lenders for this new opportunity.
