Romelia is a hardworking woman who learned the job of making mantas at a young age. Mantas are a traditional women's garment worn over a skirt in the western area of Bolivia. She managed to finish high school, but was unable to continue studying something specific since the need to work was greater.
She and her friends make up the group called "Arañitas de Villa Mercedes C." They got their name because of their ability to work, and also because the majority of them work weaving garments. She is the president of the group, and her main task was to take the group to Sembrar Sartawi IFD where they received necessary advice and financing to achieve their objective.
In Romelia's case, she needs the money to purchase raw material and to repair her weaving machine.
In this group: Romelia, Jose Carlos, Fidel, Bartolina, Maria Elizabeth, Jhoselin Tatiana, Basilio, Roberto Pablo, Deysi Judith
