My name is Kendrick Constant, I grew up in a city called Norwalk CT, was born Norwalk Hospital, and was raised here my entire life. I grew up in a Christian household, my parents instilled faith and belief in God all throughout my life. My parents met in church in their youth choir. Thanks to the groundwork laid when I was younger, so far I’ve been able to create a life around things that are important to me. Family, faith, and the freedom to lead myself. When helping a friend who was providing covid vaccinations to the community. I noticed a large amount of the people in line had lived in the US for a while. However they had a language barrier, there lack of understanding made it hard to advance. Seeing this problem I recorded several videos in Spanish and creole so that clients can understand how to better navigate. I want everyone I work with to be able to create a better life for there families. Additionally I learned that I had a skill for networking seeing a vision and fostering the growth through intentionality and persistence. I have continuously used this skill to help business owners with there passions and business. When lending internationally, the local currency in a borrower's country may lose some of its value compared to the US dollar -- requiring the partner to use more of its local currency to repay Kiva in USD. We offer some Lending Partners the option to protect themselves against currency fluctuations by choosing to pass on these losses to Kiva lenders. By bearing this risk, lenders protect the partner and its borrowers from catastrophic currency devaluations and contribute to the sustainability of their operations.
Potential for currency exchange loss is noted on every loan profile under the loan details:
"Yes" means the Lending Partner will cover any currency loss. Lenders will not bear losses due to currency fluctuation
