A loan helped to purchase Irish potatoes, rice, beans, and cooking oil.

Amina's story

Amina is a single woman who rents a house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are hospital bills, rent, and food.

She has been operating a food stall business for over two years, selling from home to her neighbours and passersby. Amina faces a major challenge in seasonality and competition from other food stall operators. She hopes to establish a retail shop in the future.

With the Kshs 20,000, she wants to purchase stocks of Irish potatoes, rice, beans, and cooking oil. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to improve her business.
