The “Las Champas” group is composed of mature women whose businesses give them long-term stability in a socioeconomic environment where it's difficult to find employment. This is why their economic activities are so important.
Damaris, who is 36 years of age, is married and mother to a daughter. Thanks to her food-selling business, which she has had for 13 years, she has been able to support the household expenses and been able to pay for her daughter's studies, of whom she is proud.
She works full time in her business, from 6am to 2pm, and when she can't attend to her customers she has a trusted person who helps her, and thus she is able to take care of them. With her loan, Damaris will purchase supplies to support her food sales. Her long-term goal is to expand her premises and increase her capacity for customer service.
Alongside Damaris, other members of the group are Maria, Yolanda, Yesenia, Nayeli, and Matea. They are ladies of great experience who mutually support each other to administer their finances and thus progress and obtain a better quality of life.
In this group: Matea Del Carmen, Yesenia Del Carmen, Nayeli, Maria Cruz, Damaris, Yolanda
