A loan helped to buy agricultural surplus to resell and acquire a small truck for loading goods.

Argentino's story

Argentino is a 40-year-old man. He lives in Namuno in Cabo Delgado province, Mozambique.

Argentino is an enterprising man who buys agricultural surpluses such as maize, beans, and other cereals from many smallholder farmers who see him as a link with the market.

Due to the rise in fuel prices, which directly affects the price of transport, he intends to buy more surplus and acquire his own small truck to facilitate the transport of goods and reduce the final sale price of the agricultural surpluses he buys from smallholders’ farmers.

Recently, Argentino benefited from IDE's business training, where he learned valuable techniques to better manage the business, as well as attract customers. Thanks to this knowledge he obtained very good results and an increase in the number of clients.

Argentino is applying for his first Kiva loan to buy more agricultural surplus to resell to his customers.

Don't waste any more time, invest today in Argentino’s business so that he can be able to reach more smallholder farmers from other neighboring villages.

This loan is special because:

It supports smallholder farmers and the agricultural ecosystem in Mozambique.
