Josephine's story

Josephine K. K. is thirty years old. She is married and her husband works with Better Health Care. They have three children aged between eight years old and three years old. Her business is located in a busy commercial area known as Mlolongo and she is served by the Kitengela branch. She has a grocery store in which she stocks vegetables and fruit. She has been in this business for three years now and she says most of her customers are repeat customers. She says that this business is profitable and the only major challenge she has is financial constraints. However, she works very hard to keep her business doing well.

She is using her loan of Kes 70,000 to buy vegetables and potatoes to expand her business. In future, she hopes to be a wholesaler. She describes herself as very hardworking, punctual and honest.
