A loan helped a family owned business, B's Maple House, buy a new oven, waffle maker, and ice machine.

Brandi's story

I took over an existing business that had been in operation for over 6 years and was forced to shut down during COVID in March 2020. This is the most unique Chicken & Waffles experience in California. We faced many challenges reopening without funding or grants. We were able to provide job back into the community as a small business and sever quality food at affordable price. I am so short staff and business has been suffering due to lack of employees.

I want to continue being a representation of excellence in my community. I took over the business during covid thinking by 2021 things would turn around, however it has not. I work at 110% to ensure that I was doing my part, and making an impact with my employees and customers. I have been in the restaurant industry for over 15 years. My last employer I worked over 6 years. When the pandemic hit he was unable to continue with the business and was able to provide me with in house financing. It is a day to day struggle however I can’t see myself doing anything else. I don’t want to go back to the 9-5. I just do. I need help in so many areas just to keep open. I want to stay open and one day expand, however I do need help.

This loan is special because:

It supports a small business owner with 0%-interest, zero-fee capital.
