A loan helped to modernize her family's auto repair shop.

Genesis Geraldin's story

Genesis Geraldin is a 31-year-old Venezuelan woman who arrived in Ecuador in 2019. She felt obligated to leave her country with her husband and daughter because the national financial crisis was in a critical state. Upon arriving in Ecuador, she and her husband were driven to get ahead, so they worked at repair shops while their daughter stayed in daycare. However, during the time they were employed, they were paid very little.

With the little amount of money they had saved, Genesis Geraldin and her husband decided to open their own auto repair shop since both of them had excellent knowledge and experience. Within a short amount of time, they built up a good clientele who gave them good references. During the pandemic, they took advantage of training on how to use social networks to promote their repair shop, which was very successful.

Genesis Geraldin is well-known for her skills and good work as a mechanic, particularly for repairing automatic transmissions. The purpose of this loan is to modernize her business.

Sra. Genesis Geraldin says that she is very happy to be in Ecuador with her family. She says that acquiring a small house would be among the other dreams that she wants to fulfill.
