Huân's story

Mr. Huân is 29 years old and married, with two children. His family belongs to the Muong ethnic minority, a small community of under 2% of the whole country's population.

His house is located in Ngoc Lac District, a mountainous area of Thanh Hoa Province.

He is a builder in the village, earning around $210 each month. His wife works as a worker in the local garment factory, earning around $169 each month. The total income is just enough for living expenses.

They also grow vegetables and raise some chickens for food and to sell for an extra income. His family belongs to a local low-income household.

The difficulty that concerns his family is the current latrine is old and unhygienic. He proposed to borrow this first loan cycle from Thanh Hoa MFI for the purpose of buying construction materials to build a new toilet, so that his family's living condition will get better.
