A loan helped to buy more fruits and vegetables to sell.

Poline's story

Poline is 35 years old, happily married, and has three children. Her husband works as a tour operator. Her main source of income comes from operating her grocery store. Poline enjoys her business because she is able to provide for her family’s needs, such as paying rent and school fees. The business also has a positive impact on the community since it supports local suppliers from whom she buys inventory.

One challenge that she faces is the lack of capital to restock her business and keep up with demand. Poline is kindly requesting a loan so that she can buy more inventory to satisfy her customers. They continue to motivate her with each passing day since she enjoys interacting with them. Poline is able to generate a lot of ideas on how to improve her business using the feedback from her customers. For example, she is able to diversify her inventory by knowing which products to include or remove from the shelves.

With the profit she earns, Poline will be able to pay back the loan and improve her family’s standard of living. Like any loving parent, her dream is to see her children succeed in life and provide them with a good education. She also wants to expand her business.
