Rani lives in a small city in Pakistan called Kasur which is located in Punjab, Pakistan and famous for its tanneries industry. She lives there in a 3 room brick house with her family in the area named Basti baraat shah. She moved here after her marriage. She is a caring lady, carrying out her responsibilities of a housewife but she also supporting her family financially by sewing clothes for her neighboring clients.
Her husband has a business of selling construction supplies. He makes contracts with different construction companies and provides them the supplies at a good profit.
Rani has given birth to 5 sons and 2 daughters. Her eldest son works along with his father while her other children are getting their education from a local school.
Rani has applied for a loan from Kiva partner Asasah for her husband’s business. With the loan, he will buy more construction supplies such as cement, sand and bricks and improve his business. He has been doing this business for over 10 years and Rani is hopeful that by investing with this loan, his business will grow further and makes him more profits.
