A loan helped to buy soil amendments, fertilizer, and disinfectant.

Deisy Luceny's story

Deisy, 18, lives with her parents, who came to Ecuador 12 years ago. Their goal was work and a peaceful life, because they were displaced by violence in their country.

Deisy learned to work as a day laborer as a teenager. Now her family farms together with the goal of helping each other.

It's the first time Deisy is going to invest in agriculture, so she's requesting her first loan to cover the expenses of maintaining her crop, such as soil amendments, fertilizer, and disinfectant. This will be helpful for Deisy to be able to keep on earning her own working capital.
