A loan helped to repair his small store-front and buy inventory.

Belen Enrique's story

Meet Mr. Belen Enrique! He is a hardworking and determined entrepreneur who has been dedicated to retail work and agriculture all his life. He manages his finances very carefully and tracks all his business numbers very accurately.

Belen Enrique runs a small "tienda" which is a convenience store that provides the community with food, cleaning and personal care products, snacks, school supplies, frozen goods, and fruits and vegetables. His store is the only one in his community, and Mr. Belen is really happy to serve his neighbors by bringing all these products to his community when they are needed.

The store needs some improvements, such as roof repairs, walls fixing, shelves, and new paint. Today, Belen Enrique is asking for his first Kiva loan to make those improvements and buy some store inventory. Thank you for supporting rural entrepreneurs that have multiple barriers to access credit to improve their microenterprises!

This loan is special because:

It helps unbanked communities in rural areas gain access to financial services.
