This group is composed of 26 women who share strong links of solidarity and mutual aid. They live in the same neighborhood and seized the opportunity to join the "banc villageois" when it was implemented in the area in December 2010. They have main businesses in raising poultry and retail.
Madame Ndeye Khady (standing at the far right of the photo with her hand raised), is the group representative. She is 62 years old. She is married and the mother of 2 children, of whom 1 is a girl. She raises poultry. She enjoys experience in this business for having practiced it for several years.
With this new loan she plans to buy cases of chicks, bird food, and vaccines to raise them for 45 days and then resell them.
With the profits, she plans to develop her businesses, contribute to the "tontine," meet her needs and those of her children.
