A loan helped us to make the store appealing and offer more family-centered programming.

Mandy's story

COVID created a space for crafters all over the world to create beautiful works of art. Most crafts were seen as a cure for the quarantine boredom but some crafts were used to replace a lost stream of income. I, myself, was a prime example of this. I was a school bus driver when the pandemic shut down the world. I decided I could not sit around while my family went without. So, I started making cloth facemasks and I kept taking the profits and investing them in my business. But finding places to sell them in was hard when it wasn't "Craft Fair Season" and lugging that stuff around was so hard.

So I decided to open a store to allow hyper-local vendors to skip the craft fair and just set up all month long in one place. I currently have 45 vendors and 92% of them are from just the Monadnock Region where we are located. COVID still has the world completely sideways, but as for the creators in my area... they will always have a home in my store.

This loan is special because:

I will have a sign, attractive fixtures and A/C to greatly upgrade the retail appeal of my store.
