A loan helped a restaurant owner to buy new equipment to offer a better service!

Orlando's story

My name is Orlando, I was born in Puerto Rico, and I am 33 years old. My passion for food began years ago, thanks to my mother and grandmother. Their seasoning was unique; I was the happiest when they prepared one of my favorite dishes for me. That is how the desire to learn how to cook, like my mother and grandmother, awoke in me. I wanted to have the same seasoning as them. At the age of nine, I started cooking and perfecting my cooking recipes to satisfy my cravings. In Puerto Rico, I had the opportunity to work at lunch trucks (they are typical Puerto Rican food restaurants), and food trucks, and in Milwaukee as a cook at Olive Garden. I also share my cooking recipes on my YouTube channel, “MexiBoricua,” which has the same name as the restaurant I am about to open; the name comes from my wife being Mexican and me being Puerto Rican. On my channel, I am supported by 40,000 subscribers, and my popular video has more than a million views.
