Chanto's story

I am a first-generation immigrant from Laos. My parents were able to escape the Vietnam War and bring my four siblings and me to the USA when I was two years old. My father was a pediatrician in Laos but his credentials were not accepted here in America. Both my parents worked at and eventually retired from Patrick Cudahy's meat company. I attribute my college education to my parents' hard work and sweat. I now have 15+ years of experience in the SAAS space. I started to see that the software running the smartphone apps was going to be a big thing from early on, so I began learning as much as I could about computers. I soon learned that it was the code or software that powered the computers. This was my eureka moment. As one of the first users of new apps like Gmail, Uber, and Skype, I began to decipher the code and find out how all the systems worked together as one.

My interest in software development peaked and if this code stuff were anything like my video games, I wanted to push these apps to their limits and find the cheat code. I worked a long time in the brand development space and gained great insight into the product and service fulfillment process involving smartphone apps, especially third-party delivery apps. I am now developing my own delivery and ride-hailing app that will be a no commissions membership-based platform. My mission is to promote sustainable local economies by providing a software platform that is willing to protect and support its most valuable assets. Those assets are the customers, merchants, and drivers.
