Rosana's story

Rosana is a modest and enterprising 57-year-old married woman. She has a very good understanding of and is experienced with her general store. She has one of her own which has been running for many years, and her store is located in an excellent spot where it is easy to find, and many people always come to buy her goods every day. Running her business has made Rosana become more independent because she can be responsible for herself and help support her family's everyday income. She would like a loan of $1,000 through Kiva's lending partner KIF to help improve her store. She plans to use this loan to buy additional supply goods such as biscuits, noodles, sugar, coffee, and many other things to resell at her store. Rosana hopes to expand the size of her business in the future as the result of her investment and wants to thank lenders for the opportunity.
