A loan helped to purchase the ACE One hybrid energy system for cooking, lighting and charging in a way that is safer, cleaner and saves money.

Thabo's story

Thabo is a 28-year-old man who lives in a single bedroom house with two other family members. Thabo works as a shop assistant, but he struggles with insufficient income, buying multiple fuels. He spends the most amount of his energy expenses on LPG, which costs up to 100 Lesotho maloti per month. He also spends as much as one hour per day gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs like phone charging.

Thabo is buying the ACE One cookstove to help him and his family save the money spent every month on fuel and also help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free. The ACE One clean cookstove is biomass- and solar-powered.
