Illuminee is a 50 year old mother of five children between the ages of 8 and 30 years old. Her husband is a farmer, and for the past eight years, Illuminee has owned a food stall.
Illuminee is the leader of the group called Terintambwe CB Sub B, which in English means “Making Steps.” Group members sell different items and own a variety of businesses.
Illuminee will use her loan to buy more plantains, peas, yams and Irish potatoes to sell within her community and meet customer demand. With the profits from her sales, she hopes to be able to provide for the family and also expand her business.
Illuminee is thankful for your support.
Due to the global pandemic, Urwego was not able to photograph all the members, but was able to get one representative for the group photo.
