A loan helped to buy tomatoes, onions, potatoes and other vegetables to increase her business.


Amina's story

Amina is a 42-year-old woman. She lives in Chimoio, Mozambique. She lives in Manica province with her husband and their three children.

She sells agricultural surpluses such as onions, potatoes, tomatoes, and other vegetables. She always travels to other communities to buy these products from women small holder farmers to sell in her shop. Her business is growing very fast thanks to her wonderful interpersonal skills with customers and her business acumen.

Amina is a dynamic entrepreneur and an inspiration to other women in her community. She wants to help more women in her community to be successful in business as well and does her best to support them.

Amina applies for a second Kiva loan to increase agricultural surpluses to better meet demand for these vegetables and expand her business. In the future, she dreams of building a cold storage facility to better preserve vegetables, especially during the summer.
