Dam is an ethnic minority woman living in the mountainous northwest of Vietnam. She is a mother of two children who are both working as hired labour. In this picture, she is standing on the far left.
Since she wants to take a good care of her six-member family, she and her husband work extremely hard to earn a living. She is busy with rice farming, raising poultry and livestock. Moreover, she is very passionate about growing coffee because it is a good commodity in her town. She takes this loan as her capital to buy fertilizers for coffee fields.
With the profit from this investment, she can further reinvest in coffee production. Her dream is simply to wish the whole family to be healthy; especially her children will have stable jobs in the future.
