A loan helped to buy a new vehicle.

Eva Margarita's story

This is Eva, age 62, who lives with her family in the urban center of the city. By profession, she is an agricultural accounting technician, but she decided to earn a living in a different way.

Seeing the need for transportation of the residents of rural areas, she opted to buy a bus and open routes to rural areas. In this way, the people take their products to market and avoid walking long distances. She has the support of her husband and children in this work, and they also are learning to administer the business. Also, she employs 3 other people in the business. Eva is aware that working together and good management have permitted her to replace vehicles. She also is the proprietor of a heavy-haul truck.

At this time, with much hope she has visited the nearest office of MiCrédito in order to request a Kiva loan with which she plans to buy a bus to continue offering her valuable service in the rural area and thus to have better profit margins.

In the near future, she wishes to acquire new vehicles and to open other transportation routes to generate employment.
