A loan helped to purchase a motorcycle that will improve transportation of her crops to the town’s main square.

Yolima's story

Yolima is a young farmer from Santander de Quilichao, Cauca with more than 12 years of experience practicing this activity. She currently owns a sustainable four-hectare terrain that was gifted by her mother, where she distributes 4,000 coffee plants, plantain trees, and sugarcane.

Thanks to her acquired skills, Yolima also works as an agricultural advisor to many of her neighbors in nearby fields. She lives with her husband and youngest son in a house she bought eight years ago. Her husband works alongside her sharing maintenance tasks and harvesting the crops.

A loan of $9,333,723 COP helps Yolima to purchase a motorcycle that will simplify her displacement time from her terrain to the town’s main square.
