A loan helped to purchase a motorcycle that will simplify her commute time from the crops to the town’s main square.

Yeneima's story

Yeneima is a young farmer from Santander de Quilichao, Cauca, with more than 16 years of experience practicing this activity despite her young age. Yeneima owns a 1-hectare plot of land that she bought 13 years ago after she began harvesting, where she distributes 2,000 coffee plants along with a small batch of plantain trees. She sells her production directly to Colombia’s National Coffee Association. Besides her crops, Yeneima is also a small entrepreneur who owns a small fast-food stand on a municipality's central square to supplement her monthly income.

Yeneima lives with her husband and two children in a house she bought with the savings from her crops. Her husband works in construction and supports her in maintaining her crops.

A loan of $6,949,872 COP helps Yeneima to purchase a motorcycle that will simplify her commute time from her terrain to the town’s main square.
