A loan helped to buy more charcoal to sell.

Comfort's story

Comfort is a 43-year-old businesswoman. She is married with 5 children. Two of her children are currently attending school while living at home.

She attended school up to 10th grade, and she runs a business where she sells charcoal. She asked for a loan with BRAC Liberia, a Kiva lending partner.

The loan will be used to buy more charcoal to sell, expand her business and to help her family’s financial situation. She has been selling for the past 10 years and is very proud of her business.

She is very grateful to BRAC and the Kiva community for their support. In the future, she would like to become an international businesswoman.

This loan is special because:

It serves low-income individuals in rural Liberia where few alternative funding sources exist.
