Rebecca's story

This is 58-year-old Rebecca from Liberia. She is a married mother with five children; all of her children are attending school and live at home. Rebecca attended school up to 7th grade.

She is a hardworking business woman who sells rice, oil, charcoal and other items. Her mother taught her how to sell and her husband gives her money to start the business. She sells Monday through Saturday. She has no problems with her business and she uses a car to transport supplies to her business site.

Rebecca requires a loan through BRAC Liberia, a Kiva Lending Partner in order to purchase more rice, oil, charcoal and other items to sell to her good clients. She plans to use the profits generated from her business to help her husband at home. In the future, she wants to build more houses. She say thanks to BRAC and all Kiva lenders.
