A loan helped a member to purchase stocks of clothing for children and women that will strengthen her initial capital.

Pamoja Ni Salama Group's story

Mukamate is a client of the Hekima microfinance institution and president of the “Pamoja Kwa Umoja” village group. She is a widow and the mother of 6 children who all attend school. Her partner is a driver.
She sells various clothing and started this business 20 years ago with the startup funds received from her husband. Later she joined the Hekima programme to support her business and during this time she evolved progressively. With this new loan, she will purchase stocks of clothing for children and women, which will strengthen her initial capital. The challenge she faces in her activity is linked to the lack of customers.

She would like her children to continue their studies and wishes to feed her family. Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they bring to business owners who have no cash in this context of crisis linked to covid-19. The photo is only of the group leader because of covid-19 and to respect the social distancing rules.
