La Esperanza Group's story

This is the La Esperanza Group which was formed in the city of Itá. The members are in their third women's committee loan cycle and all seek to offer better living conditions for their loved ones.

Marlene is one of them and she works hard to help support her family. She says by making and selling cakes she helps support her household and family.

Marlene is happy about the work she does even though it is a humble business. It has allowed her to help her loved ones and cover their needs so they lack for nothing. She is a very hard worker and starts every day early in the morning to meet customer demand. She strives to continue to improve her situation constantly.

She is applying for this loan to buy raw materials to make her cakes such as flour, eggs, shortening, pastries and other products.

Note: There is only one person in the photo despite this being a group loan. A group photo was not possible because the Covid-19 pandemic is still present and no declaration of eradication has been issued yet.
