A loan helped a member to buy groceries.

02_Mbanep Group's story

Since its creation, this group has been composed of women sharing the same culture and mainly involved in small trade, farming and livestock.
Mariama, alone on the picture (to observe preventive measures against Covid-19), is the group's representative. She is 50 years old, widowed and the mother of seven children including five boys. She has been involved in a small retail business selling groceries for years and has substantial experience in this field. She goes to the weekly market in the city or often in a neighboring country to buy her supplies and sells them in her village.
With this new loan, she will purchase bags of onions, cartons of tea, containers of oil, etc. at wholesale which she will then retail.
She plans to use her profits to meet her family's needs, especially since she is now widowed, and to get involved in livestock.

In this group: Mariama, Safy, Kadidiatou, Hawa, Ansata, Démo, Coumba Idy, Mariama, Maimouna, Kadiatou, Ansata, Mariama, Ramatoulaye, Binta, Fatoumata Boubacar, Mariama, Oumou Moussa, Binta, Houleymatou, Mama, Ansata
