A loan helped a member to obtain working capital to improve her peach and pototo crops.

Ocuri-2 Group's story

Genara is a mature woman who works on the land. She bears the look of hope for her two children who are still in school. Like many rural women she wasn't able to finish high school because of her gender and the need to earn a living. This pushed her to get a job even from a young age. Now she and her husband grow potatoes and peaches.

Together with other members of her community Genara formed the group Ocuri. She was named president. In this way they came to join the Sembrar Sartawi group so they could obtain financial help and advice in order to get capital to allow them to improve production, irrigation, and land to cultivate. Genara is able to increase production and earn more income which will allow her to provide her children with better opportunities.

In this group: Genara, Genara, Margarita, Veneranda, Policarpio , Wilber, Eusevio, Reynaldo, Freddy
