My business, Pinklicious808, is a bright pink food truck serving fresh fruits, juices, smoothies, acai bowls, and snacks for locals and visitors to Oahu. I am located at the base of the Pink Pillbox Hike in Waianae, on the West Side of Oahu. I started this business as a way to provide fresh, locally-sourced health foods to hungry hikers and as a way to share my "elixir smoothies," which were essential in my recovery from Ovarian Clear Cells Carcinoma.
What is the purpose of this loan?
I am applying for the Kiva loan to purchase new equipment, renovate the inside of my food truck, install a new security system, and retrofit the car's exterior. I need an additional source of capital to help my business expand and thrive. To do this, I will raise my menu offerings to include new items and new, seasonal flavors. This loan will be a tremendous asset in empowering me to purchase and source fresh, locally-grown produce from the immigrant farming communities in Hawaii, like those of my parents. We offer some Lending Partners the option to protect themselves against currency fluctuations by choosing to pass on these losses to Kiva lenders. By bearing this risk, lenders protect the partner and its borrowers from catastrophic currency devaluations and contribute to the sustainability of their operations.

"Yes" means the Lending Partner will cover any currency loss. Lenders will not bear losses due to currency fluctuation
